Norfolk Parking Partnership meeting abandoned due to lack of councillors

A Norfolk Parking Partnership Joint Committee meeting was cut short on 17 March 2026 after too few voting members turned up to conduct business legally. All agenda items will now be pushed back to the next meeting in June.

A Norfolk Parking Partnership Joint Committee meeting lasted just one minute on 17 March 2026 after it was declared inquorate — meaning not enough voting councillors were present to make it legally valid.

Committee Officer Megan Hughes formally opened and then immediately closed the meeting at County Hall, Norwich, at 2pm. The meeting ended at 2:01pm.

Chair Councillor Graham Plant confirmed that every item originally scheduled for discussion will be carried over to the next meeting, set for Thursday 25 June 2026 at 2pm. No decisions on parking policy or enforcement across Norfolk could be taken as a result of the failed meeting.
