A planning application for land off Crab Apple Lane in Haddiscoe has been approved by the Planning Inspectorate after Norfolk County Council refused it last year.

The committee originally rejected the application in May 2024, but the applicant exercised their right to appeal to the national planning body. The Planning Inspectorate sided with the applicant and granted permission.

Planning officers presented the Inspectorate's decision to councillors at the meeting on 31 March 2026. The committee noted the outcome without further action, as the appeal decision is final and binding.

The reversal means the development at the Haddiscoe site can now proceed in line with the terms set out by the Planning Inspectorate, despite the council's earlier objections.
