acorns are the money of slash.earth. you can't buy them β you can only earn them by making the world more fun.
β back to the mapsign in and you'll get 25 π° to start you off!
every economy has three moves, and ours has exactly three too:
1. earning β new acorns appear when you do something good for the map, like pinning an event. real economies call this minting. work in, money out.
2. giving β when you cheersomeone's post, one acorn hops from your pocket into theirs. no new acorns are made; they just move around. that's tradeβ and it's how you say βthis made my day betterβ with something that costs you a little.
3. planting β a golden pin costs 15 π°, and those acorns get planted in the ground, gone forever. if acorns only ever appeared, everyone would have millions and they'd mean nothing. planting keeps them scarce, and scarce is what makes money worth wanting.
(each thing pays out once β going to the same event twice doesn't pay twice. nice try though.)
counting acornsβ¦
being rich in acorns just means you've made the world more fun. spending them well is the flex.
no real money. no buying acorns. no selling acorns. just a planet being nice to itself.
